Table of Contents

Ingredients

For the Cake

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Glaze

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Make the Cake

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan or tube pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Add Pumpkin and Vanilla: Mix in the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Alternate Adding Dry Ingredients and Buttermilk: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Pour into Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Make the Glaze

  1. Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more buttermilk as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
  2. Glaze the Cake: Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.

Tips for Perfect Pumpkin Pound Cake

  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients: Make sure the butter, eggs, and buttermilk are at room temperature for a smoother batter and better texture.
  • Don’t Overmix: Mix the batter until just combined to avoid a dense cake.
  • Test for Doneness: Insert a toothpick into the thickest part of the cake to check for doneness. It should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.

Recipe Variations

  • Spiced Glaze: Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the glaze for extra spice.
  • Nutty Pumpkin Pound Cake: Fold in 1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts for added texture and flavor.
  • Maple Glaze: Substitute the buttermilk in the glaze with pure maple syrup for a sweet, maple-flavored topping.

  1. A piece that brought a sense of order to a topic I had been finding chaotic, and a look at pagerankparlor continued that organising effect, content that imposes useful structure on messy subjects is doing genuine intellectual work and this site is providing that organisational function across multiple posts I have read recently here.

  2. Now adjusting my mental list of reliable sites for this topic, and a stop at pebblepineoutlet reinforced the adjustment, the small ongoing curation work of maintaining trusted sources is one of the actual practical activities of careful reading and this site has earned a permanent place on my list for this particular subject.

  3. Started forming counter examples to test the claims and the post handled most of them implicitly, and a look at cottontrailartisanbazaar continued that anticipatory style, writers who think two steps ahead of the critical reader save themselves from a lot of follow up work and this writer has clearly internalised that habit consistently.

  4. Started smiling at one paragraph because the writing was just nice, and a look at maplegroveemporium produced a couple more such moments, prose that produces small spontaneous reactions in the reader is doing more than just transferring information and the writers here are clearly hitting that level fairly consistently throughout pieces.

  10. Really appreciate that the writer did not overstate the importance of the topic to make the post feel weightier, and a quick visit to nightroutine maintained the same modest framing, content that is honest about its own scope rather than inflating itself is the kind I trust and return to repeatedly over time.

  11. Now sitting with the thoughts the post triggered rather than rushing on to the next thing, and a stop at woodcovevault extended that reflective pause, content that earns time for thought after closing the tab is content of higher value than the merely interesting and this site has clearly produced that lasting effect today.

  36. Been reading this board for a while, so here is how I pick an online casino these days. After trying maybe a dozen sites I stopped going by ads alone.

Licence comes first for me: check who regulates the site, and if your country is on the allowed list. Then payments: I want at least one fast e-wallet option, and there should be no weird fees on cashouts.

The welcome offer is where most people get caught. Wagering of 35x or 40x is normal, and some games count less towards it. A useful overview with bonus rules, app info and payment methods is worth a read here bonus at Lilibet Casino and it saved me some time.

On mobile I mostly use the browser version, and if there is an app I make sure it comes from the official page. Ask support one simple question first: if they answer in a couple of minutes that is a good sign.

Hope this helps someone. Treat it as entertainment, not income.

  37. Been reading this board for a while, but I figured I would share what I look at before signing up anywhere. After trying maybe a dozen sites I stopped trusting the big banners.

First thing is the licence: see which authority is listed in the footer, because some sites quietly block certain regions. After that I look at banking: I want at least one fast e-wallet option, and cashout times should be listed up front.

Never judge a site by the bonus alone. Anything above 40x rollover is a red flag for me, and some games count less towards it. A useful overview with bonus rules, app info and payment methods can be found here read more before you deposit anything.

I play almost only on my phone, and if there is an app I make sure it comes from the official page. Ask support one simple question first: if they answer in a couple of minutes that is a good sign.
