  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Gravy

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Hamburger Steaks

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overmix.

Form the mixture into 4-5 oval patties.

Step 3: Sear the Patties

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Sear the hamburger steaks for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned. Transfer the patties to a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 4: Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to create a roux. Gradually whisk in the beef broth until smooth. Add Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Bring the gravy to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until thickened.

Pour the gravy over the hamburger steaks in the baking dish. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the hamburger steaks are cooked through and tender.

Step 6: Serve

Serve the Amish Hamburger Steak Bake hot, with plenty of gravy spooned over each steak. Pair with mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, or a side of vegetables for a complete meal.

Cook Notes

  • Ground Beef: Use an 80/20 blend of ground beef for the best flavor and juiciness. Leaner ground beef can result in drier patties.
  • Breadcrumbs: You can use regular breadcrumbs or panko for added texture. For extra flavor, use seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • Gravy Consistency: If the gravy is too thick, add a bit more beef broth to reach your desired consistency.

Variations

1. Mushroom Gravy Hamburger Steak Bake

Add 1 cup sliced mushrooms to the skillet when making the gravy for a mushroom gravy version.

2. Cheesy Hamburger Steak Bake

Sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese over the hamburger steaks before pouring the gravy on top for a cheesy twist.

3. Spicy Hamburger Steak Bake

Add 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the hamburger mixture for a bit of heat.

Serving Suggestions

  • Mashed Potatoes: Serve with creamy mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious gravy.
  • Buttered Egg Noodles: Pair with buttered egg noodles for a comforting and satisfying meal.

  3. Reading this confirmed that the topic deserves more careful attention than it usually gets, and a stop at snowtrailartisanoutlet extended that elevated framing, content that raises the appropriate weight of a subject without being preachy about it is serving a quiet but important editorial function for the broader cultural conversation about it.

Lato slot ci saranno 2.000 titoli: i soliti Pragmatic tipo Sweet Bonanza e Gates of Olympus, Play’n GO, NetEnt, Big Time Gaming per chi ama i Megaways.

  21. Strong recommendation, anyone interested in this topic owes themselves a visit, and a stop at chestnutstoneemporium extends that recommendation across more of the site, this is the kind of resource that makes me more optimistic about the state of the open web than I usually am these days actually for once which is genuinely refreshing.

  22. Solid information that lines up with what I have been hearing from other reliable sources, and after my visit to nightorchardmarketplace I was even more certain of that, this site checks out which is something I value highly when so many places online play loose with the facts to chase a quick click.

  29. Vague feelings of recognition kept surfacing as I read because the writing names things I have been thinking, and a look at cloudmeadowcollectivemart produced more of those recognition moments, content that gives shape to private intuitions is content that makes me feel less alone in my own thinking and this site has that effect.

  33. Skipped to a specific section because I knew that was the question I had, and the answer was clean, and a stop at nightorchardmarketplace similarly delivered targeted answers without burying them, content engineered for readers who arrive with specific needs rather than open ended browsing is increasingly valuable in a search heavy reading environment.

37. Even on a quick first read the substance of the post comes through, and a look at chestnutstoneemporium reinforced that immediate quality, content that does not require a slow careful read to demonstrate value but rewards one anyway is content with real depth and this site has produced work of that demanding depth class.

  41. A handful of memorable phrases from this one I will probably use later, and a look at echobrookoutpost added a couple more, content that contributes language to my own communication rather than just facts is content with a different kind of utility and this site is providing that linguistic utility consistently across what I read.

  49. The clarity here is something I really appreciate, especially compared to sites that pile on jargon for no reason, and a look at cottonmeadowvault was the same, simple direct sentences that actually deliver information instead of dancing around the point for paragraphs at a time which wastes reader patience.
