Snickers Fudge Recipe
Introduction
If you’re a fan of the classic Snickers candy bar and love fudge, then this recipe is sure to be a hit! Snickers fudge combines the rich and creamy texture of traditional fudge with the delicious flavors of caramel, peanuts, and chocolate found in Snickers bars. It’s an indulgent treat that is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Whether you’re making it for a special occasion or just to enjoy at home, this Snickers fudge recipe is sure to impress.
Ingredients
For the fudge:
- 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 ounces) of sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
For the Snickers layer:
- 1 cup of creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1 cup of chopped peanuts
- 1 cup of caramel sauce
Steps
Step 1: Prepare the fudge layer
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate chips are fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
Step 2: Add vanilla extract
Once the chocolate mixture is smooth, stir in the vanilla extract until well combined. This will add a hint of flavor to the fudge layer.
Step 3: Prepare the Snickers layer
In a separate bowl, mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth and creamy. This will be the Snickers layer that goes on top of the fudge.
Step 4: Layer the fudge and Snickers mixture
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Pour half of the fudge mixture into the bottom of the dish and spread it out evenly. Next, spread the Snickers mixture on top of the fudge layer. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts over the Snickers layer, pressing them gently into the mixture. Finally, drizzle the caramel sauce over the peanuts.
Step 5: Add the remaining fudge layer
Pour the remaining fudge mixture over the top of the Snickers layer, spreading it out evenly to cover the entire dish. Smooth the surface with a spatula.
Step 6: Chill and set
Place the dish in the refrigerator and let the fudge set for at least 4 hours, or until firm. This will allow the flavors to meld together and create the perfect texture.
Step 7: Cut and serve
Once the fudge has set, remove it from the refrigerator and lift it out of the dish using the parchment paper. Cut it into small squares or bars and serve. Enjoy!
Variations
While this Snickers fudge recipe is delicious as is, you can also try some variations to suit your taste preferences:
- Swap out the semi-sweet chocolate chips for white chocolate chips for a different flavor profile.
- Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the fudge for a sweet and salty combination.
- Experiment with different types of nuts, such as almonds or cashews, instead of peanuts.
- Drizzle melted chocolate over the top of the fudge for an extra chocolatey touch.
Tips
- Use a good quality chocolate for the fudge layer to ensure a rich and smooth texture.
- When melting the chocolate in the microwave, be sure to stir it well after each interval to prevent it from burning.
- For easy removal, line the baking dish with parchment paper, allowing the edges to hang over the sides. This will make it easier to lift the fudge out of the dish once it’s set.
- Store the Snickers fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Conclusion
Snickers fudge is a delightful combination of the classic candy bar and creamy fudge. With its layers of chocolate, caramel, peanuts, and peanut butter, it’s a treat that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Whether you’re making it for a party, as a homemade gift, or just to indulge yourself, this Snickers fudge recipe is a winner. So go ahead and give it a try!
