Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

1967 Views

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks are the ultimate snack or appetizer, featuring gooey melted cheese surrounded by a crispy golden coating. Perfect for game day, parties, or whenever you’re craving a cheesy treat, these homemade cheese sticks are easy to make and taste much better than store-bought versions. Let’s get started!

Table of Contents

Ingredients

  • 12 mozzarella cheese sticks (string cheese)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cheese Sticks

  1. Cut Cheese Sticks: If desired, cut the mozzarella sticks in half to make shorter sticks, or leave them whole.
  2. Freeze Cheese Sticks: Place the cheese sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least 1 hour. Freezing prevents the cheese from melting too quickly while frying.

Step 2: Set Up the Breading Station

  1. Prepare Breading Bowls: Set up three shallow bowls—one with flour, one with beaten eggs and milk, and one with the breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano.

Step 3: Bread the Cheese Sticks

  1. Coat Cheese Sticks: Remove the cheese sticks from the freezer. Coat each stick in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture. For a thicker coating, repeat the egg and breadcrumb step to double-coat each cheese stick.
  2. Freeze Again: Place the breaded cheese sticks back on the baking sheet and freeze for another 30 minutes to 1 hour to help the breading set.

Step 4: Fry the Cheese Sticks

  1. Heat Oil: In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry Cheese Sticks: Carefully place a few cheese sticks in the hot oil, frying for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Turn occasionally to ensure even browning. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
  3. Drain: Remove the cheese sticks from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Serve: Serve the mozzarella cheese sticks warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Cook’s Notes and Tips

  • Freezing is Key: Freezing the cheese sticks before frying prevents them from melting too quickly and helps maintain their shape.
  • Oil Temperature: Use a thermometer to maintain the oil temperature. If the oil is too hot, the breading will burn before the cheese melts; if too cool, the cheese may melt and ooze out.
  • Double-Coating: Double-coating the cheese sticks ensures a thicker, crunchier crust that holds the cheese in better.

Variations

  • Baked Mozzarella Sticks: Instead of frying, you can bake the cheese sticks at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through. Spray them lightly with cooking spray to help them crisp up.
  • Spicy Cheese Sticks: Add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb mixture for a little extra kick.
  • Herb-Crusted: Add extra dried herbs like basil, parsley, or thyme to the breadcrumb mixture for a different flavor profile.

Serving Suggestions

  • Dipping Sauces: Serve with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or a spicy sriracha mayo for dipping.
  • Game Day Spread: Pair these cheese sticks with other snacks like jalapeño poppers, chicken wings, or loaded nachos for the ultimate game day spread.
  • Appetizer Platter: Add them to an appetizer platter with fresh vegetables, chips, and other finger foods for a party.

  1. Now realising the post solved a small problem I had been carrying for weeks, and a look at kettleridgeartisanmart extended that problem solving function, content that connects to specific unresolved questions in my own life rather than just providing general interest is content with real practical impact and this site is providing that practical value.

  2. Probably worth setting aside a longer block to read more carefully than I can right now, and a stop at alpinecoveartisanbazaar confirmed the longer block plan, the impulse to schedule dedicated time for a sites archive is itself a measure of trust and this site has earned that scheduling impulse from me clearly today actually.

  3. Your writing flows incredibly well, and the transition between different points was natural. This is exactly the kind of trustworthy and neutral content I enjoy reading on a weekday.

  5. Now understanding why someone recommended this site to me a while back, and a stop at amberharborvault explained the recommendation, sometimes recommendations make sense only after experience and this site has finally clicked into place as the kind of resource I now understand was being recommended for sound editorial reasons by my friend.

  9. Liked that the post landed without needing to manufacture controversy or take a contrarian stance for attention, and a stop at alpinecovegalleria continued that grounded approach, content that earns attention through quality rather than provocation is the kind that builds long term trust rather than burning it on quick wins.

  10. So I’ve been using Revery Play for about six weeks or so and wanted to share my take here. I registered on a whim — min deposit is just ten quid which wasn’t bad, deposited fifty quid and they matched with a 100% welcome bonus up to ?500 plus 150 free spins on registration. Playthrough sits at 35x and could be better honestly but I’ve seen way worse.

Game-wise is pretty stacked — they’ve got somewhere around 3000 titles from studios including Play’n GO, NetEnt, Betsoft. Spent most of my time on Book of Dead mainly — pulled a nice win on Gates last week actually. Live tables is all Evolution — Lightning Roulette is always packed, real croupiers and everything.

One thing I appreciate about Revery Play is how quick withdrawals are. Paying with Neteller and last cashout came through within under 24 hours. You can also use Mastercard plus other e-wallets if that’s your thing. You can have a look at the current promotions over at revery play before you sign up.

Tbh, not everything is amazing. Customer support at Revery Play took ages once — had to wait nearly 20 minutes on chat the other day. The site on my phone works fine but navigation could be smoother versus bigger brands. No dedicated app either, just the browser version.

Having said all that, it hasn’t put me off which says enough really. Revery Play is regulated and feels trustworthy enough. If you’re in the UK it’s a reasonable pick — I’d just be patient with their customer service speed.

  12. Came in confused about the topic and left with a much firmer grasp on it, and after bayharborcollective I felt I could explain this to someone else without hesitation, that is the gold standard for any educational content and most sites simply fail to reach it ever which is unfortunate but true.

  13. Now recognising that the post handled the topic with appropriate technical precision without becoming dry, and a stop at juniperharbortraders continued that balance, technical precision and readability are often in tension and this site has clearly figured out how to maintain both at once which is one of the harder editorial achievements in the form.

  14. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to compile this detailed overview; the objective standpoint you maintained throughout the text makes this a highly reliable resource for further reading.

  15. Felt mildly happier after reading, which sounds silly but is true, and a look at woodmeadowoutlet extended that small mood lift, content that improves rather than degrades my mental state is content I want more of and the cumulative effect of reading sites that lift versus sites that drag is real over time.

  17. Thanks for laying this out in a way that someone newer to the topic can follow, and a stop at paprikaplace kept that accessibility going, writing that meets readers at different experience levels without condescending is hard to do well and the writers here have clearly thought about who they are writing for.

  18. Reading the writers other posts after this one suggests the quality is consistent rather than peak, and a stop at sageharborvault confirmed the consistent quality reading, sites that hold the same level across many pieces rather than peaking on a few are sites with sustainable editorial discipline and this one has clearly developed that.

  19. Just one of those reads that left me feeling slightly more capable rather than overwhelmed, and a look at mintstonecollective kept that empowering feel going, the difference between content that builds the reader up and content that intimidates them is huge and this site clearly knows which side of that line to stand.

  20. Came away with a slightly better mental model of the topic than I started with, and a stop at kettlecrestmarket sharpened that further, content that improves the reader thinking apparatus rather than just dumping facts into it is the rare kind I genuinely value and seek out when I have time to read carefully.

  22. Considered alongside other sources I have been reading this one consistently rises to the top, and a stop at lemonlarkmarketstudio maintained that top ranking, the informal ongoing comparison between sources is something I do whenever reading on a topic and this site keeps coming out near the top of those comparisons over many sessions.

  24. Nice and clean, that is the best way to describe the writing here, no clutter and no wasted words, and a quick visit to pearlcovevault kept that going, I appreciate when a site treats its readers like people who can think for themselves without needing constant hand holding through every paragraph.

Ci trovi titoli di Pragmatic Play come Sweet Bonanza e Gates of Olympus, poi diverse slot di NetEnt piu roba Play’n GO tipo Book of Dead.

  30. The pacing of the post was just right, never rushed and never dragged out unnecessarily, and a look at tealcoveartisanmart maintained the same rhythm, you can tell the writer has experience because the difficult skill of pacing is something only practiced writers manage to handle well in long form content over time and across formats.

  31. Without comparing too aggressively to other sources this one stands out for the right reasons, and a look at motionframework continued that distinctive quality, content that distinguishes itself through substance rather than style tricks is content with lasting differentiation and this site has clearly chosen substance based differentiation as its core editorial strategy.

Ekan talletuksen tein kympilla Visan kautta eika siina menny ku hetki. Taa on yks niista jutuista minka huomaa heti — jos talletus tokkii niin en jaksa.

Pelivalikoimasta voin sanoo et sita riittaa. Lottoland vetaa sisaan peleja isoilta tuottajilta niinku Play’n GO ja Evolution, joten tutut nimikkeet on paikalla. Tykkasin pyorittaa Gates of Olympusta jonku verran ja muutama kiva voitto iski. Kolikkopeleja on reilusti yli tuhat ja sit on blackjackia ja rulettia tietenkin. Pieni miinus — hakutoiminto vois olla parempi, valilla menee aikaa ettiessa.

Livepeleista loytyy Evolutionin oikeita jakajia ja kokeilin Crazy Timea ja blackjackia yksin illalla. Pyorii ihan sulavasti puhelimella, mika on iso plussa. Ehdot kannattaa vilkasta silti etukateen.

Kotiutukset Lottolandista meni mulle suht nopeesti. E-lompakolla kesti alle vuorokausi ja korttimaksu meni ehka kolme paivaa. Ei mitaan kauheen erikoista mut ei myoskaan hidas. Loydat bonuskoodit ja edut katevasti Lottoland ennen ku rekisteroidyt. Support toimii chatin kautta ja oon saanu parissa minuutissa ku kysyin jotain.

Mobiilipelaaminen toimii selaimella eika tarvi ladata mitaan. Sivusto latautuu hyvin eika patkimista oo ihan hyvin. Kyl ma jatkan pelaamista Lottolandissa kunnes joku parempi tulee vastaan.

  33. I am very glad to have stumbled upon this excellent article. The objective approach and smooth progression of ideas make it an absolute pleasure to read through from beginning to the end today.

  34. Felt a small spark of recognition when the post named something I had been struggling to articulate, and a look at daisycoveartisanbazaar produced more such moments, the rare service of giving readers language for fuzzy intuitions is one of the higher values that good writing can provide and this site offered several today instances.

  35. Took longer than expected to finish because I kept stopping to think, and a stop at acorntrailartisanoutlet did the same to me, content that provokes thought rather than just delivering information is in a different category and the team here is clearly working at that higher level rather than just cranking out posts.

  38. Worth a quiet moment of recognition for the consistency I have noticed across multiple posts, and a stop at lavenderbrookartisanhouse continued that consistent quality, sites that maintain quality across many pieces rather than peaking on one viral post are sites with real editorial discipline and this one has clearly developed that discipline carefully.

  40. It is a pleasure to encounter content that respects the reader’s time. Your clear yet comprehensive breakdown delivers exactly what is needed without any extra elements.

  41. Picked this site to mention to a colleague who would benefit, and a look at lanternstoneemporium added more material I will pass along, recommending sites to colleagues is a higher bar than recommending to friends because the professional context demands more careful curation and this site cleared the professional bar without me having to think.

  42. So I’ve been using Rolletto for about three months now and figured I’d share my thoughts. Came across it through a mate after I got fed up with the same old sites. Signed up took about two minutes, nothing weird asked, and I dropped twenty quid to test it — that’s the minimum which is fair enough.

Their sign-up offer looked alright — they matched 100% up to €500 with 200 free spins. Playthrough is at 35x which is about average I’ve seen. Spins landed on Gates of Olympus I think. Tbh, spins were a bit dead but the matched funds stretched things out nicely.

Game selection at Rolletto is genuinely bigger than I expected. You’ll find titles by Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, Evolution for live. My go-to slots have been Gates of Olympus and some BTG Megaways like Extra Chilli. Probably a few thousand titles in total. Live dealers are decent — blackjack and roulette, and I got sucked into Crazy Time which is a proper time sink. Real croupiers streaming, quality’s crisp even on mobile.

Getting money out has been what I really wanted to test and actually no complaints. Tried Neteller and funds hit in under two days. There’s also Bitcoin and various e-wallets for flexibility. I’d have a look at what they’ve got on offer over at https://wildlywealthylife.com to see for yourself. My one annoyance — verification took ages to approve and that was frustrating.

Mobile-wise, Rolletto loads nicely in Chrome — they don’t have an app and honestly the browser version is fine. Pages load responsive and I’ve done sessions on the bus and it ran smooth. Support is available round the clock via chat and I got an answer in under a minute when I asked about my withdrawal. The site is operating under a Curacao licence — not UKGC which that’s a thing to be aware of.

Honestly, it’s not perfect — that slow verification and the site design is a bit cluttered in places. But game variety is top, payouts have been reliable for me, and the matched deposit gave me a decent run. Not for everyone maybe but I’m keeping Rolletto for now.

  44. A handful of memorable phrases from this one I will probably use later, and a look at autumncoveoutlet added a couple more, content that contributes language to my own communication rather than just facts is content with a different kind of utility and this site is providing that linguistic utility consistently across what I read.

  45. Thanks for taking the time to write this, it is clear that some thought went into how each point would land, and after I went through zencoveemporium I had a better grip on the topic, real value without the usual marketing noise people have to put up with online when searching for answers.

  46. Felt like the writer was speaking directly to someone with my level of curiosity, neither talking down nor showing off, and a stop at canyonmeadowoutlet kept that comfortable matching going, finding writing that meets you where you are rather than asking you to climb up or stoop down feels great every time it happens.

  48. Worth pointing out that the writing reads as confident without being defensive about it, and a look at oliveharbortraders extended that secure tone, content that does not pre emptively argue against imagined critics has a different quality from defensive writing and this site reads as written from a place of real ease.

  49. The discussion here feels very smooth and easy to engage with, because the ideas are introduced smoothly and the overall tone remains calm, positive, and open for readers who want to participate in the conversation.

  50. Now adjusting my expectations upward for the topic based on this post, and a stop at oakoriginshop continued that bar raising effect, content that resets what I think is possible on a subject is doing real work in shaping my standards and this site is providing those bar raising experiences at a notable rate during sessions.
