A simple, comforting dish that combines the savory, salty goodness of Spam with tender potatoes in a slow cooker.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups diced potatoes (about 4 medium potatoes, peeled)
1 can (12 oz) Spam, diced
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
Instructions
Prepare the ingredients: Peel and dice the potatoes into even-sized cubes, about 1-inch pieces. Rinse the diced potatoes under cold water to remove excess starch, and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
Dice the Spam: Cut the Spam into similar-sized cubes as the potatoes.
Combine ingredients in the slow cooker: Add the diced potatoes and Spam to the slow cooker. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top and stir gently.
Set the slow cooker: Cover and set to low heat for 6 to 8 hours, or high heat for 3 to 4 hours.
Check for seasoning: Taste for seasoning about 30 minutes before serving and adjust as necessary.
Serve hot: Stir gently and serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
