Ingredients
Scale:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 cup warm water (110°F to 115°F)
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and garlic powder.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the yeast mixture along with the olive oil.
Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, then roll it up tightly from one end to the other.
Pinch the ends to seal and place the rolled dough seam-side down on a greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top and let it rise again for 20-30 minutes.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
