6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup dulce de leche
1/2 cup unsalted butter
10 oz mini marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped nuts (e.g., pecans or walnuts)
1/2 cup chocolate chips or drizzle
Instructions
In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the mini marshmallows and continue stirring until completely melted and smooth.
Once the marshmallows are melted, add the dulce de leche into the mixture. Stir until well combined and smooth.
Remove the saucepan from heat and gradually add the Rice Krispies cereal. Stir gently until the cereal is evenly coated.
Prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by greasing it lightly with butter or using parchment paper. Transfer the mixture into the dish, pressing it down firmly.
If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts or chocolate chips on top, pressing them lightly into the mixture.
Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cutting them into squares or bars.
