1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the cherry pie filling evenly across the bottom. If using almond extract, drizzle it over the filling.
In a separate bowl, combine the yellow cake mix and cinnamon, if using. Stir until well mixed.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cherry filling without mixing.
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
