Air Fryer St■ Peppers are a delightful twist on a classic comfort food. This dish combines the hearty flavors of your favorite st■ peppers with the convenience and health benefits of air frying.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 large bell peppers (any color)
1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for about 5 minutes.
While the air fryer is preheating, prepare the bell peppers. Slice the tops off and remove the seeds and membranes. Set aside.
In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or turkey) until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet with the meat, cooking until the onions are translucent, about 3 minutes.
Stir in the cooked rice, drained diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well and allow to cook for another 2 minutes.
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of shredded cheese until melted and combined.
Carefully spoon the filling into each bell pepper, packing it gently but firmly.
Cook the peppers in the air fryer at 370°F (188°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the tops are slightly golden.
