1 (30 oz) bag frozen hash browns, thawed
1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Extra shredded cheese (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
In a large bowl, mix the thawed hash browns, cooked sausage, and cream cheese mixture until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until frothy. Pour this mixture over the hash brown mixture and stir until evenly incorporated.
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour the entire mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
Allow the casserole to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions and extra shredded cheese if desired.
