  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Mix well and add softened butter, blending until crumbly. Press mixture into the bottom of a greased 8x8-inch baking pan.
  3. Bake crust for 15 minutes, until slightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans and salt.
