Crockpot Ground Beef

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula until it’s cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add a bit of oil if needed, then sauté the diced onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic for about 3-4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  3. In your crockpot, combine the browned ground beef, sautéed vegetables, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Stir to mix everything evenly.
  4. Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir again to ensure all ingredients are well-coated with the spices.
  5. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The longer, the better, as this allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
  6. Once cooked, give the mixture a good stir. Serve hot with your choice of toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or fresh cilantro.
