A delightful butter cake with vanilla notes made in a slow cooker, perfect for gatherings or a simple family dinner.
Ingredients

- 1 box of yellow cake mix (approximately 15.25 oz)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for dusting
- Optional: 1 cup of cream cheese frosting
Instructions
- Prepare the Crockpot: Lightly grease the interior of the crockpot with butter or a non-stick spray. Use parchment paper for easier removal if desired.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, granulated sugar, and salt. Stir until evenly combined.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Combine All Ingredients: Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- Pour Batter: Pour the batter evenly into the prepared crockpot. Use a spatula to spread the batter evenly.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cooling: Allow the cake to cool slightly in the crockpot.
- Serve: Slice and serve the cake warm. Dust with powdered sugar and, if desired, top with cream cheese frosting.
