- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 4 bananas, well-mashed)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 10-cup Bundt pan thoroughly with butter or cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
- Add the mashed ripe bananas to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed just until combined.
- If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 55-65 minutes.
- Once baked, remove the Bundt pan from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes.
