A mouthwatering, one-pot wonder that combines the richness of ground beef, the creaminess of cheesy ranch sauce, and the simplicity of cooked rice.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound ground beef
1 cup uncooked white rice
2 cups beef broth
1 cup cheesy ranch sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and cook until it's translucent and starting to brown, about 5 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Cook until the beef is browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the beef broth to the skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the liquid has been absorbed and the beef is tender.
Stir in the cheesy ranch sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce is heated through and the beef is fully coated.
Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the rice is heated through and the flavors have melded together.
Season the dish with salt, pepper, and dried thyme, to taste.
