Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker. Season them lightly with salt and pepper. Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer for even cooking.
  2. Mix the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until well blended.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker, ensuring the chicken is evenly coated.
  4. Add Broccoli: Gently add the fresh broccoli florets on top of the chicken and sauce mixture, pressing them slightly down into the sauce.
  5. Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for about 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Add Cheese: About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover until melted.
  7. Serve: Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, stir everything together gently before serving.
