A quick and delightful treat that takes us back to our childhood, evoking memories of sweet indulgences.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your favorite type)
2 tablespoons of softened butter (can use margarine as a substitute)
2 tablespoons of granulated sugar (can also use powdered sugar)
Instructions
Prepare the Bread: Start by laying out your two slices of bread on a clean cutting board or plate. Ensure they are fresh and soft.
Spread the Butter: Using a butter knife, spread a generous tablespoon of softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
Add the Sugar: After buttering, sprinkle one tablespoon of granulated sugar on the butter on one slice of bread.
Assemble the Sandwich: Place the second slice of bread on top of the first, with the buttered side facing inward, sandwiching the sugar.
Toast the Sandwich: Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Once hot, place the sandwich in the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Flip and Cook: Flip the sandwich using a spatula and cook the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Slice and Serve: Once both sides are toasted to perfection, remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then slice it in half and enjoy.
